Reese Breakaway Battery Box System with charger & switch

This REESE Towpower trailer breakaway system features a push-to-test button that instantly indicates the charge level of the battery. This system also has an integrated multi-stage charger that provides a fast recharge up to 12.8 volts. Once battery is fully charged the automatic float mode is designed to provide a continuous charge without overcharging. Breakaway systems are designed to apply the brakes in the event that the trailer becomes disconnected from the tow vehicle's hitch while in motion. This type of device is required in many States and Provinces as a safety precaution.
